On a typical evening session, a group of about 15-30 people of all ages will start trickling in at 7:30, with nearly as many men as women.  More than half will come without partners.  There is no formal teaching schedule, but a few dances will be taught thoroughly every evening, and most of the other dances done will be briefly reviewed, so beginners will not have a problem.  Newcomers are welcome.  The dances are from the world over.  We will do a few couple dances and a few mixers, but most are non-partner dances, with the main focus on those from Romania, the Balkans, Israel, and Greece.  During the year some volunteers will do a few performances, and we will have once-a-month collective birthday parties and an occasional holiday party.  The atmosphere is very casual.  For most, the socializing is as important as the dancing.
